What is cause of multicolored lines in my flat screen television?

Magnavox,32 inch flat screen,out of nowhere, has vertical colored lines in picture,when turning off cable box,and turning back on again,picture goes back to normal,then after a few hours,the symptom reappears again,it seems like a failing board of some sort, but i have no idea which one it is,Help needed immediately,Thanks!
