New flat screen lcd tv, which is best, sony or sharp?

Heya!
Moving to a new house soon, and decided to buy a new television to celebrate, I want to buy a new LCD tv, around 32', was thinking about buying a sonia bravia, but I have heard about some bad technical issues with it, friend suggested a Sharp, but Im not a big fan, yet to gaint there trust as a consumer. He has a really nice samsung which I would totally get, but two of them have samsungs, so Im not one to follow the party. Anyone have any suggestions for a brand, or specific model of tv that is well worth my money?
