Looking to buy a flat screen television tomarrow?

I want a television I can put over the fireplace. I don't want to spend just a ton of money. I watch a lot of television but I dont need the fanciest tv out there. I need it to be able to hang from a wall mount and play dvd's. I want an lcd but I do not know anything about the numbers or specs. can anyone help me. I want like a 42 inch or 44. I want to spend like $700 or under.
