Is it worth to have a power supply cord/regulator replaced on a 6 year old Panasonic 32″ flat screen TV?

The set takes about 6 minutes to come on and there's a black frame around the picture. A service person will have to come to our home, the set is too large to bring to a shop. Thanks!
